I love Miami. This city really knows what I like and it knows how to get me in the feels. It was over a year ago that I had gone to Miami for the first time. I was there to check out and cover the Exxxotica show primarily but since I had never been there before I just knew I was going to have to check it out. And boy, was it an adventure. I was there only for a short amount of time but it was plenty to hit the ground running. The city never slept and consequently neither did I. So, needless to say it was a lot of fun. Being there for Exxxotica really made it that much more enjoyable. You’ll have to check out my article from the last time I had been there. But, you know as much fun as that was, I knew heading back there was going to be even better. This time I would be there longer and would be right across the street from where the show was going to be held. I mean. this was a story that practically told itself. So, was it any good? Oh yeah. Cue the biggest understatement in history.
If I loved Miami already this trip pushed those feelings over the edge. I do have to say though, even though I had been there before and have been to hot and humid climates during my time in the military I was not expecting the wall of swamp ass that I hit the moment I got off the plane. I have been home a while since the show happened and it’s not even hot where I am but holy shit I am sweating just remembering how bad it was way back when. But, you know that is Miami, and if you don’t prepare yourself for it (or even dress for it) it is going to eat you up alive. But, considering how caliente the town is, it definitely suits it well. But gaddam, was it hot. Word to the wise, if you ever go to Miami (in the Summer) bring extra shirts and anti-swamp ass towels. They will save you when you least expect it.
Now that that is out of the way let me just dive right into it. Unlike the last time when I was there for Exxxotica I was there the entire time for the show (this time around). And that made it all the difference in the world. If you have ever been to the show and only made it out to one of the days or for only part of the whole show you would be missing out. Every day is packed with different events, signings, appearances and presentations. Most of the schedules are listed on the website (https://exxxoticaexpo.com) but there is a lot that happens there that you wouldn’t see unless you were there. I recommend that if you are able to go every day to definitely do it. You never know who you’ll meet and what you’ll see. I definitely ran into a few surprises while I was there and got to meet some folks I never thought I would.
One of those people that I had the pleasure of meeting was Alexis Texas. I have been watching and listening to her podcast for a while now and I gotta say she is just as charming in person as she is on her show. I got a chance to chat it up with her while I was walking around and got to talk to her about her podcast. It was a pretty interesting conversation and I am glad that I finally got to meet her. The other incredible woman (and to be fair, there were a bunch of amazing people that I got to meet that weekend) that I chatted with was Angela White. You know, I have covered several shows over the years and have seen her at several. I swear, every time I see her the fan turnout is incredible. There is always a line of people waiting to talk to her and get to take pictures. It’s unbelievable to be honest. I talked to her on the last day near the end of the show, and that is only because the entire time it was like a swarm of bees that was always surrounding her. But you know what? When I finally got to talk to her (and this was my first time chatting with her) I totally understood her appeal. She is just as stunning in person as her films, and twice as charming. You can’t help but be amazed by the way that she carries herself and the way she talks to everyone. I don’t really get star struck, but occasionally there are those people that just command attention. Angela is definitely one of those people.
But, while those were just two people I met that weekend, I do have to say that I had a great overall experience. It is Miami after all so sex appeal is just oozing all over that city. Add some of the hottest adult stars out there and you’ve got a recipe that would make anyone hot and bothered. So, even though this was only my second time covering Exxxotica I sure do hope that it won’t be my last. The show is totally fan-centric and they really do let everyone get up close and personal with their favorite personalities. Plus, it’s always fun checking out the contests and panels.
