There’s no show that hits harder than SEMA. This show has always captivated the people from the industry and car fans the world over. It has already been a few years since the world had been put on lockdown and I was wondering just how SEMA would go. It has always been the standard (at least to me) by which all other car shows are judged. People from all over the world come here to see the best and brightest that all car scenes have to offer. Could this year’s show live up the hype that it has always had? Or would SEMA limp across the finish line and be a shadow of its former self?
Even though I have been to SEMA many times over many years I never know what to expect. The year after the coof and since then it felt as though it wanted to come fully back, but that companies were a bit hesitant to get things rolling. And while I felt a bit uneasy as I drove out to Vegas I was hoping that it would be just as awesome as it has been in the past. I mean, this is the one time of year that I take time off from my regular job to check out an event. But, while it was a bit nerve racking I took it all in stride.
That was, until I got to the show. Holy smokes man, it was waaaay more than what I could have expected. SEMA was in flux for a while and, while 2022 was a great show with a lot of memories I wanted it to go back to what it was before. And by jove I couldn’t have been more excited for it. From the moment I walked into the new West Hall it was game on! People were everywhere and vendors were here in full force. You could really feel the buzz in the air. It has take a while but people were happy to be back.
The cars were amazing (as always) and the vendors were great to talk to. There were also a ton of models that had come out to the show. Many of them were new to the scene as well. I think from that point on we could really see covid as a thing of the past. From this point on people and businesses were ready to hit the ground running. And if any of the pictures in this article are an indication of, it’s that SEMA is back and it’s here to stay.
