Sema and AAPEX were ready to kick off Day 2 in crazy style yet again. What shenanigans will we get into today

Day 2 at the Sema show was crazy right out of the gate. My buddy (and our newest team member) Chris had just arrived and the three of us (including Jason) were excited to see what new stuff was going to be on the docket that day. Every day at Sema is a new adventure and it was no doubt that Day 2 would be the same. I’ve always felt when I covered the show on my own that I would miss all of the craziness happening. Being in one hall or another would make me miss the other stuff. But, with the team here we could cover everything and compare notes later on. It worked out great the day prior so it would be even easier with one more person.

So, just like the day before we decided to split up and cover both AAPEX and Sema. And just like the day before it would be just as action-packed. Little did we know though that there would be more people and things to see this time around.

The new products from all of the vendors and the models were superb. It seems that ever since covid had been silenced more vendors foreign and domestic have been pushing to bring their products out. And while we saw a little preview of it, it looks like AI is making huge waves in the industry. We are seeing new parts and software that we probably wouldn’t have seen in many years down the road. I for one am not against the use of AI and I think that we are going to see an explosion in applications and uses. We are already starting to see it with people using AI to create new parts and across multiple mediums. Sure, there is a huge amount of AI slop out there and people are becoming more adept to pushing past that. But, it’s in the details where AI can help. I am curious what 2026 will bring down the road.

As for everything else, well, take a look at some of the pictures here. The cars/builds, the fantastic return and debut of new booth models and the great atmosphere are what make Sema such an amazing show. I am so grateful that with all of the shows that have disappeared over the years SEMA is the one constant that everyone can look forward to. So, take in just a piece of the sights and sounds of this wonderful show. At least from Day 2 anyways. More coverage coming in Day 3.
